Wh
y do we go through life with so much fear?
Why do we fear the things we fear?
We fear the mundane things, we have no control over in life, and we fear the material things the world has told us to fear.
In his new book, Fearless, Max Lucado takes all these little fears we have in life and replaces it with the one healthy fear to have, the fear of God.
Max Lucado takes these little fears like, the fear of not mattering, and the fear of running out of materialistic things, and goed into scripture to show us why we as believers should not be afraid of these little things in life, as God has already covered all of these.
If God would care for a little bird, and provide for it, how much more would He care for us as humans, created slightly less than himself, but in His image.
Do yourself a favour, get yourself this book, and study it. Start fearing God, in a healthy way, and start trusting on Him to provide for your everyday needs.
Max Lucado has taken this topic of fear, so prevalent in the times we are living in, and replaced it with God. He placed God in control of our fears, and we all should read this book to get back on the track.
The Noticer by Andy Andrews is page-turning book on perspective. Young Andy meets Jones, an old, homeless man that has a gift of noticing certain aspects of people’s life and assisting them to gain perspective. The chapters each share how Jones assist various people with gaining perspective on various life issues, from family and marriage life, business ethics, old age, financial struggles, depression to children and helping others with what you have learned.
This book is relatively short, in ten chapters the entire story develops and is so stimulating; I found it quite disappointing that the story should end.
I loved the way the story flows, the suspense of who Jones will assist, in what way in the following chapter. The way the character, Andy develops through the book is also motivating. I appreciate the way the author describes each character and their struggles is described in a honest, sensitive way.
The overall message was very inspiring and challenged me to see both sides of a story. This book is of great help so see your own and other peoples struggles in a different light.
I can recommend the book to all, the principles addressed is timeless and biblically based.
Just wanted to let you guys know that I have been accepted as a Book Review Blogger for Thomas Nelson today, and my first book that I will be reviewing is Fearless by Max Lucado.
I am extremely excited about this, as I love reading and I have some hidden aspirations to become a writer.
I have this feeling within me the God wants me to write a book in a couple of years, and I think this new challenge of reviewing books might be the first step in getting to that.
Please pray for me for persistence in this matter as well as getting that topic and motivation for this pending book, to come sooner, rather than later.
