Behold God

Mark 1:35

“Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed.”

During our church service last night, Brett Solomon said something which rang very loudly in my heart.

We as Christians have become so adept at praying, and do not behold God enough any more.

We have turned prayer into an easy shopping list, which could be completed in 3 minutes flat. We need to go sit down in our quite time, and behold the power of God in our live more than going to Him asking for help with all your troubles.

With this, I am definitely not saying we should not pray any more, but we need to make time in our lives to behold the power of God more.

There may be many ways that you personally behold the power of God. What ever that may be, do it on a daily basis, and get back to really be in God’s presence.
