Project Purpose

After reading this article on Aspectus Online Magazine, it just got me thinking…

Do we, as children of God, regularly check ourselves against our spiritual goals and dreams? Are we doing the things we need to do in life, to actually reach those goals?

I mean, I have a dream of making worship music full-time, either playing in an annointed band, or leading a band, but what am I doing to actually reach that goal? Am I sitting back, and waiting for God to make this happen for me, or am I actually going out, getting myself into a position of actually being able to fullfil this dream of mine.

I am very guilty in this, as one tends to be comfortable in what you are doing in your day-to-day life, and then you tend to just sit and wait, and after a couple of months or years, you ask God, but why hasn’t this happened for me yet, and 9 out of 10 times, you will get the same answer, what have you done to reach this goal?

Free music…

One of the things I would really love to do through Unsafe Challenge, is to expose Worship artists, especially those that are unknown in South Africa.

One of these that I have come across recently, is Phil Wickham. He also has a free album, that can be downloaded by clicking on the image.

Part of the whole Unsafe Challenge is to explore new worship artists. Meet Vicky Beeching

Risks

This morning, during my Bible study, I came upon the following verse, which just again confirmed this calling for me, as to be Unsafe.

Luke 19:24-26 (The Message)

24“Then he said to those standing there, ‘Take the money from him and give it to the servant who doubled my stake.’

25“They said, ‘But Master, he already has double . . .’

26“He said, ‘That’s what I mean: Risk your life and get more than you ever dreamed of. Play it safe and end up holding the bag.

For those that want to join me in this challenge of being unsafe in your faith, step up now, and let us form a community to support each other, as well as to challenge each other.

It is no good that we sit in our comfy lives, praying and reading the Bible, but not actually stepping out into the world and following God’s call to his people, and that is to speak the Gospel, and win souls for the Kingdom of God. I would urge each and every one of you to get a hold of a copy of the book, Life on the Line. This book will show to you what can be done, if you step out in faith, and take up the challenge of being Unsafe.
