Childlike faith
OK, I am slowly but surely starting to realise and learn to listen to God, but then to trust Him to supply what you need in order to fulfill His words…
Yesterday, as I was chatting with Johan over Skype, I got the word, Childlike Faith. This immediately struck me as a brilliant topic for a blog post, but do what I may, I could net get my head around any content for this post.
This morning, during my Coffee with God session (Bible study) I got the following verse, and it simply knocked me off my feet.
People brought babies to Jesus, hoping he might touch them. When the disciples saw it, they shooed them off. Jesus called them back. “Let these children alone. Don’t get between them and me. These children are the kingdom’s pride and joy. Mark this: Unless you accept God’s kingdom in the simplicity of a child, you’ll never get in.”
Luke 18:15-17
Now, if you think this is a coincidence, then I am sorry for you, as God has revealed Himself to me so many times like this in the last couple of weeks, that I simply have to stand in awe, and try to get back to a ‘Childlike Faith’

This most inspiring aspect of watching a child explore is that awe of the small things , the seems to blend into everyday life for us… that appreciation …using all their senses… We can learn so much from children and apply that to our exploration of God’s Word, His Creation, His daily workings with us and the relationship we have with Him and other people.
Thinking about about the childlike faith, first I though, …just believing, without fear, questions, just… having faith…
then I was reminded of children’s ‘WHY ??” phase, which we can learn from too, when we really become a student of God’s work adn character we will realise it is so much greater, deeper and full of love and blessing for us and we will even become more curious!
